More Moldovans choose to do shopping online

The number of people who do shopping online in Moldova has increased. According to a study of the Internet traffic and audience, more than 600 Moldovans choose to purchase products and services over the Internet, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Audit Office of Editions and Internet based in Balti town.

According to the study, the number of Internet users who do shopping online rose by almost 3% on last year. As regards the percentage distribution of Internet users who make purchases over the Internet by sexes, the ratio of men to women is almost equal, the number of men being slightly higher.

The Moldovans who do shopping online at least once a year have incomes of over 3,000 lei a month. The online trading worldwide sees an upward trend, which depends on the Internet penetration rate. A similar trend is witnessed in Moldova.

The study of the Internet traffic and audience was carried out by the Audit Office of Editions and Internet of Balti, in partnership with the research agency Gemius.
