More Moldovan wine companies allowed to export to Russia
Russia’s food safety body Rospotrebnadzor extended the list of Moldovan wine businesses that can export wine products to Russia. “Two more Moldovan wine companies were authorized to export their products to Russia,” Russia’s chief sanitary inspector Gennady Onishchenko told RIA Novosti, Info-Prim Neo reports.
He informed that he had a meeting with representatives of Moldovan wine businesses on November 4. “We discussed possibilities of lengthening the list of companies allowed to export products of a high quality to Russia. We decided to approve the applications of two Moldovan firms – the wine complex “Cricova” and “Standardul moldovenesc”. They can export nonbottled wine and strong alcoholic drinks for making cognac, which will be then processed by a Russian company,” said Gennady Onishchenko.
Russia is the largest importer of Moldovan wine products. Over the first eight months of this year, Moldova exported wine products to the value of 97.4 million lei to this country.
