Over 7,000 people last week were provided by a glass of water and medical assistance at the 16 mobile medical care units working in Chisinau during the hot period, the Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu said at Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The mobile medical care units operating in Centru district attracted most of the patients who are mainly elderly persons and people suffering from cardiovascular diseases. The medical units will continue to provide drinking water and medications. Mihai Moldovanu said that about 300 persons sought help from the mobile medical care unit working on the beach in Vadul lui Voda town. Twenty-eight persons have been hospitalized. Moldovanu recommended avoiding staying in the sun between 11am and 4pm when the level of radiation is very high, wearing light, bright clothes made of natural fabrics, and drinking at least two liters of water a day.
