No buildings will be erected on Alecu Russo Blvd. in Chisinau that is now under repair until the reconstruction works are over. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca Monday instructed the Construction Division to issue no other construction authorizations or urbanism certificates, Info-Prim Neo reports. The move comes after it was established that an unauthorized two-story construction was erected on Alecu Russo Blvd., at the intersection with M. Sadoveanu St. The head of the Architecture and Urbanism Division Radu Blaj said that the State Construction Inspectorate was informed about this case and it asked the court to order demolishing the construction and paying a fine. About 58 million lei will be invested in the repair of Alecu Russo Blvd. The roadway will be extended by two meters on both sides and the street will have by three lanes in both directions, plus tracks for cyclists.
