The monument to Lenin situated on the territory of the Exhibitions Center “Moldexpo” in Chisinau has been vandalized. Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir has told IPN that the monument was splashed with paint.

The police were informed in the morning of July 27. The author hasn’t been identified yet.

Under the Criminal Code, hooliganism is punished with a fine of 4,000 to 14,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to three years in jail.
