A monument to poet Grigore Vieru will be placed at the intersection of the streets Alexandru cel Bun and Nationala, in the square in front of the Church in Ungheni town, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Government supported the initiative put forward by the Ungheni Town Council, which will cover the costs of making and locating the monument and laying out the adjoining. A part of the costs will be covered from sponsorships. In the same meeting on October 27, the Government decided to allocate 80,300 lei from its reserve fund for editing and publishing a bilingual Romanian-German volume of poems by Grigore Vieru.
