Monumemnt to reverend Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni to be erected in Voronin's village

A monument to reverend Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni is to be erected in Corjova village, Dubasari district, the native village of Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin. The bishop lived in Corjova for a period after 1908, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the presidential press unit, the idea was put up by Corjova inhabitants, as they submitted relevant requests to the Moldovan Church and the to President. The local public authorities have to identify the place, and the Culture Ministry will set up a group to develop the concept of a complex including the monument to Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni. Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni, born Romania's Bistrita in 1746, was the Orthodox Metropolitan Bishop of Basarabia, Poltava and Kyiv.
