Between February 28 and March 28, Moldova's educational institutions are organizing the Month of Remembrance and Gratitude. The initiative is taking place in the context of the March 2, the Day of Remembrance and Gratitude for the defense of the integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
In schools, activities will be organized to raise awareness and sensitize the public to the important historical moments. The thematic exhibition "In Memoriam", dedicated to the historical events and heroes who died in the 1992 armed conflict, will also be opened.
History teachers are expected to take part in professional training activities organized at the State University of Moldova (5 March), "Alecu Russo" State University (5 March) and "B. P. Hasdeu" University (6 March).
Educational institutions are encouraged to organize extra-curricular activities to raise awareness among young people about perseverance, resilience and the importance of defending peace and freedom of the country.
The action is organized on the basis of a circular issued by the Ministry of Education and Research.
