At the first sitting of the European Parliament, Romania’s Monica Macovei was appointed as head of the EU interparliamentary delegation in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in Bucharest reports. According to a communiqué from the European People’s Party, the decision was made at the meeting where the delegation was constituted. “As head of this delegation, I will encourage and support the reforms promoting the interests of Moldova and the Moldovan people,” Monica Macovei said. The former Minister of Justice of Romania was designated as a member of the interparliamentary delegation by a jury composed of MEPs and journalists. She was selected from 12 candidates representing 12 EU member states.
