Former minister of education Monica Babuc, who was proposed for Deputy Speaker of Parliament by the Democratic parliamentary group, was confirmed to the post, IPN reports.
Monica Babuc is the last Deputy Speaker confirmed to the post following the appointment of another three Deputy Speakers on June 8. These are Ion Ceban of the PSRM, Mihai Popșoi of ACUM PAS and Alexandru Slusari of ACUM DA.
