The Democratic Party’s candidate for the post of mayor of Chisinau Monica Babuc considers the city has a huge potential to become a colorful and beautiful capital. According to her, more effort is needed for removing the nuances of grey from the old buildings, for cleaning the streets and rehabilitating the blocks, IPN reports.
“The city of Chisinau I know and love has a huge potential to become a city of positive colors. I think that by common effort and will, we can create more parks for children, fewer dull blocks and more color,” Monica Babuc said within the event “We color Chisinau” that was staged by a public arts association.
The candidate noted that her plan for modernizing the city includes a broad program for esthetically and thermally rehabilitating the old houses and blocks in Chisinau. She said the number of garbage bins must be doubled, while the garbage trucks should come to collect the waste more often.
Monica Babuc said she also has an ambitious program for repairing the old playgrounds and creating new playgrounds inside quarters as each group of four-five buildings must have a modern and nice park for children.
