“Moldtelecom” will hold the third license of mobile telephony provider in the standard CDMA 2000, on the frequency 450 MHz, for a period of 15 years. The decision was taken by the License Commission of the National Agency for Tele-communications and Informatics Regulation. According to a press release of the above mentioned agency, the decision was taken at the end of last week, on the basis of the written request of “Moldtelecom” and according to the provision of the Tele-communications Law, it was decided that this license will be offered through direct entrusting. According to the quoted source, the request of “Moldtelecom” was the only one submitted until the date when the decision was taken. The Commission conditioned the offering of the license with the implementation by “Moldtelecom” of a separate accounting register for the costs in internal management accountancy and another one for the accounting balance for the mobile telephony services. The license holder was obliged to make public the description of this system and to accomplish annually an independent financial control, performed by an audit company selected by the National Agency for Tele-communications and Informatics Regulation. “Moldtelecom” shall have the license in a period of 30 days from the approval of the decision by the National Agency for Tele-communications and Informatics Regulation, after it shall transfer the sum of 4 million dollars of the license fee to the state budget, decided through the decision of the Government from the 14th of June 2006 to be of 8 million dollars. “Moldtelecom” shall pay the rest by equal installments during the next two years.
