The film Ada for Mayor directed by Pau Faus will open the third MOLDOX Documentary Film Festival for Social Change that will take place in Cahul during September 1-5. The festival this year is hosted by the Musical-Dramatic Theater “B. P. Hasdeu”, IPN reports.
According to the organizers, the third edition of the festival includes documentaries that will be premiered in Moldova. The 23 full-length documentaries that were appreciated worldwide were made in Moldova, Brazil, Bolivia, the U.S., Australia, Spain, France, Germany, Romania and other states.
This year’s films that were awarded at different festivals address such a topical global problem as corruption in the diversity of its aspects in different countries as well as the semantic multitude of the word “body” – human body, legislative body, celestial body etc. and as a central element in different life situations.
The public could also see a special selection of national documentaries in the Local Dox division, while the special category Youth Dox will consist of documentaries intended for the youth. Besides film screenings, the festival will also include a concert of acoustic music entitled Via Dacă, an exhibition of caricatures by Alex Buretz and panel discussions on corruption moderated by Vasile Ernu, which will have special invitees.
The access to the festival is free of charge. The organizers will provide free transport from Chisinau to Cahul and back each day during five days. Places can be reserved beforehand on 078 318 376 or online on the festival’s website.
