Moldova’s women learn 2017 Euro opponents

The draw for the qualifying rounds of the 2017 European Women’s Football Championship was held at the UEFA head office in Nyon. Moldova will play in Group 4, alongside Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and Slovakia, IPN reports.

The team trained by Alina Stetsenko plays the first match at home on September 17, against Sweden. “We play in a group with worthy opponents. It won’t be easy as we do not have the experience of our rivals,” Alina Stetstenko told a news conference.

The eight group winners and six best runners-up will qualify for the finals in the Netherlands, with the two other group runners-up meeting in a play-off.
