Moldova’s Vitalie Grusac defeats Aussie boxing captain

Experienced welterweight boxer Vitalie Grusac scored on Sunday, on Day Two of the Olympics in Beijing, a win for Moldova in a landslide 7:2 by defeating Australia’s boxing team captain Gerard O'Mahony, Info-Prim Neo reports. This way the Moldovan boxer secured his access to the round of sixteen of the Olympics’ boxing competition. Vitalie Grusac, 32, has won the bronze medal at the Sydney Summer Olympics in 2000. The athlete comes from the famed village of Grimancauti in northern Moldova, a victorious boxing school coached by skilled Petru Caduc.
