Moldova's rugby team score third victory in World Championship qualifiers
The national rugby squad won the third victory in the World Championship qualifiers, group 2 A. They beat the leader of the competition, Ukraine, by 28-19, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Moldova's national team played an international match outside Chisinau for the first time. They have been supported by about 3,000 spectators at the municipal stadium in Anenii Noi.
The goals were scored by Oleg Prepelita, Alexei Cotruts and Alexandru Gagauz.
Moldova obtained 13 points and climbed to the fourth position in the rankings of group 2 A. They have to play one more game with Poland. If the Moldovans win, they will rank third in the group.
