Moldova's past and present discussed at conference in Chisinau

A republican conference titled: “The National Heritage — a component part of the European heritage” is taking place in Chisinau on May 16 and 17. The event is hosted by the Liviu Deleanu high school from the capital. The participants in debates discuss on Moldova's past and present, as component part of the European space, and on the impact of external factors upon the national idenityt. The lycee's schoolmistress Tamara Baltatu has told Info-Prim Neo they also try to identify the most important historical and architectural monuments and personalities. «Who are we?», «Who were our ancestors?», «Where do we come from and where to we go?» a subjects to be tackled in workshops. At its first edition, the conference joins representatives of schools from Chisinau, Cahul, Telenesti, Nisporeni, Briceni, Straseni and Comrat and officials as deputy premier Victor Stepaniuc, Education minister Larisa Savga and the chief of the Chisinau Education direction Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb.
