Moldova’s Parliament to wind up 2007 session on Dec. 28
The last plenary sitting of the 2007 fall/winter session will be held in Moldovan Parliament on December 28, as decided by the Parliament’s Standing Bureau.
On this ceremonial occasion, Speaker Marian Lupu and the leaders of parliamentary factions will deliver speeches summarising the results of the outgoing session.
Traditionally, the MPs will be visited by carol singers, but unlike previous years, when the Parliament’s sitting hall hosted Christmas carol bands from schools, this year the MPs will be entertained by university students.
The Parliament’s fall/winter session began on October 4.
The lawmakers will resume their work at the beginning of February.
