Moldova's Oleg Hohlov becomes ISKA Muay-Thai World Champion

Moldova's Muay-Thai Federation presented Monday at a news conference the winner of the ISKA world title in the 72kg weight class – Oleg Hohlov, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Muay-Thai World Championship took place in the Czech town of Olomouc during August 19-24 and was organized by the International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA). According to Moldova's Muay-Thai Federation president Vitalie Cebanu, the tournament hosted 1,017 fights between 700 kickboxers from 45 countries. Oleg Hohlov, Moldova's sole representative, managed to win the title belt in four fights in which he fought kickboxers from the United Kingdom, Denmark and the Czech Republic. In the final match, the Moldovan fighter pulled of a thrilling second-round KO victory. According to the International Kickboxing Federation regulations, Hohlov is to fight in a few weeks for the intercontinental absolute champion title, and this, according to national team coach Ivan Derkacenko, will procure Hohlov a place among world's best kickboxers.
