Moldova’s image will be promoted in Germany
The Moldovan Society in Germany will organize a number of cultural activities in different German towns during July 5-14. The activities will be themed: “Moldova Presents. Moldovan-German Musical and Cultural Exchanges” and will be carried out under the auspices of the Moldovan Embassy in Germany, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
Among the participants in the event are the folk music band of the National Music High School “Ciprian Porumbescu” headed by Valeriu Luta and children’s and youth’s artistic groups from Berlin. There will be organized thematic presentations on Moldova and on the activity of the Moldovan Society in Germany. The guests will have the possibility of tasting Moldovan wine and dishes. The first event of the kind will be organized at Meyenburg Castle in Brandenburg on July 5.
The charity event “A Heart for the Moldovan Children” will be the culmination of the project. It will take place in the Garden of the Moldovan Embassy in Berlin on July 12. The aim of the event is to raise money to support the disabled orphan’s home in Vasoca village in Soroca district.
Besides the performance given by the folk music band of “Ciprian Porumbescu” Lyceum, the ensemble of accordion players and a dance group from the Berlin music school “Joseph-Schmidt“as well as music groups from the schools “Albert-Gutzmann” and “Humbolthain” from Berlin-Wedding, there will be organized an exhibition of works by the plastic artist Valeriu Kurtu, a joint exhibit of photos and drawings made by children from Moldova, games and contests for children etc. Members of the Moldovan Society from Germania, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Berlin and of the Moldovan community as well as numerous sympathizers of Moldova will be invited to the event.
The project is financed by West-Östliche Begenungen Foundation, the Pankow Hotel in Berlin and the companies “Carmez“ SA and SC “Trans-Alex-Tur” SRL from Chisinau.
