Moldova’s football champion to become known today

For the second consecutive year, Dacia and Sheriff will play an additional “golden” match that will decide the winner given that the two teams ended the season with the same score. The match is played at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau starting at 8am on May 30.

“We know it will be a hard, important struggle, but we are ready to show the best result,” Sheriff coach Roberto Bordin told a news conference.

Dacia coach Viorel Frunza also expects that this team will have a good performance. “I hope and I’m confident that we will win by 2-0 and the goals will be scored by one of the young players,” he stated.

In the “golden” match the previous season, Sheriff won by 1-0 and became champion for the 14th time. Dacia won the title of champion only once, in 2011. Today’s match will be controlled by a team of referees from Moldova, with Veaceslav Banari in the center.
