Moldova's first movie magazine has been launched

The first magazine devoted to cinematography and complementary arts has been launched in Moldova. It is called “Prim-Plan” and is the child of the Prim-Plan Studio Company, Info-Prim Neo reports. The first issue offers readers an updated picture of cinematography, a detailed portrait of actress Angela Ciobanu, dialogues with filmmakers about the effects and benefits of censorship, presentations of Moldova's most beautiful places that could become perfect settings for a movie. The “Exclusive” rubric hosts a Russia actress – Margarita Terehova – who speaks of her experience of playing in two movies directed by a Moldovan. Also, the readers can learn about the first thought to be Moldovan film – Andries – directed by famous Sergey Paragianov, after a tale by Emilian Bucov. The author managed to speak to the actor who starred in it and find out many interesting details. The magazine also features interviews with the band “Zdob si Zdub” and the singers Geta Burlacu and Natalia Gordienco. The first 20 copies of the magazine, freshly taken out of the printing press, have been given to the movie-makers who came to Moldova from different countries to join the International Documentary Film Festival Cronograf. The official launch of the magazine will take place on May 23.
