Moldova’s exports have increased

The exports of Moldovan goods this June amounted to US$183 million, an increase of 2.3% compared with last June. In the first six months of this year, they totaled US$1.1 billion, up 7.7% compared with the corresponding period last year, IPN reports.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, exports in January-June came to US$768.1 million, up 22.5% on the same period of 2012. The re-exports added up to US$353.7 million, down 14.7%.

The exports to the EU member states totaled US$512.6 million, an increase of 0.9%. They account for 45.7% of all the exports. The CIS countries absorbed 40.5% of Moldova’s exports. The exports to the CIS came to US$454.8 million, up 6.2%.

The exports to Italy, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Hungary, the Netherlands and Belgium fell, contributing to a 6.5% decrease in the total exports.
