Moldova’s Embassy in Paris suspends provision of consular services

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration decided to suspend the ordinary consular services provided by the Embassy of Moldova in Paris for the period between March 10 and 24. The period could be extended depending on the development of the epidemiological situation and the recommendations of competent authorities.

According to the Ministry, the decision was taken following the rise in the number of infections with the COVID-19 in France and taking into account the recommendations of the Moldovan and French authorities, IPN reports.

At the same time, the Consular Section will continue to work in an extraordinary regime only for emergency cases, with preliminary appointment scheduling on + 33 6 23 12 76 05. Appointments can be made for obtaining travel documents for leaving urgently for Moldova (justified by documents) and in case of accidents, deaths or natural disasters.

The Ministry also reminds of the importance of obeying the protection and prevention measures in case of spread of virus formulated by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the National Public Health Agency, by the competent authorities of the destination countries and by the World Health Organization.
