According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in their speeches the officials underlined the importance of the decision to open Moldova’s Embassy in Tokyo, whose inauguration was occasioned by the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the declaration of Moldova’s independence.

The presence of an embassy in the capital of Japan shows Moldova’s firm wish to strengthen and develop the traditional, mutually advantageous relations of friendship and cooperation and to intensify the cultural and interethnic ties between the two states.

Promotional Moldovan products and video clips about Moldova were presented in the reception. At the end, each participant was given by a bottle of Moldovan wine as a present.
