The education system of the Republic of Moldova will be assessed by a team of experts of the European Union so as to improve the policy framework and to strengthen the capacities at national level. The analysis will be carried out as part of the EU’s regional program “Investing in Education and Skills in the Eastern Partnership” by experts designated by the European Training Foundation (ETF), which implements the program.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Education and Research Angela Mutruc said that within the EU’s regional program for EaP countries, the national education sector will be assessed in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova and in consultation with national and local education authorities, representatives of the managerial and teaching corps and other stakeholders.
The analysis will center on three large dimensions: inequalities in access to education, method of financing and governance of the education system. The study will contain short-, medium- and long-term recommendations and will be followed by capacity building activities, training and mutual learning seminars.
The first stage covers the first half of 2024. The implementation period of the program is 2024 – 2026.
