The Moldovan borders during December 25-31, 2017 were crossed over 340,000 times, more than 192,000 crossings being entries into Moldova. On January 1, the border crossings totaled over 18,000, with 9,000 of these involving foreigners, IPN reports.

Among the most popular border crossing points were the Chisinau International Airport, with over 6,300 crossings, Otaci, with more than 6,000 crossings, and Leuseni, with 3,500 crossings.

To avoid the formation of lines, the Border Police recommend the persons to consult the application “Traffic online” and to choose the less crowded border crossing points.
