Moldova’s Ambassador to Greece and Consul to Turkey have been appointed

The Government approved the appointment of the former head of Information and Security Service (ISS), Ion Ursu, to the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Moldova to Greece. Ursu’s resignation from the previously held position was approved by the central authorities last autumn. Subsequently, Artur Resetnicov was appointed as head of ISS. During the same meeting, the Government approved the appointment of Sergiu Goncearenco to the post of General Consul of Moldova in Istambul, Turkey. At present, Goncearenco is head of the International Law Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
