The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration requested Moldova’s Ambassador to Russia Andrei Neguta to come to Chisinau for consultations for an indefinite period of time, IPN reports.
“In connection with the cases of harassment and intimidation to which officials and politicians of the Republic of Moldova are subject by the authorities of the Russian Federation, the recent increase in their number and the lack of official reactions to the repeated requests made by the Moldovan authorities over these cases, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration decided to summon Ambassador Andrei Neguta to Chisinau for consultations for an indefinite period of time,” it is said in a press release of the Ministry.
According to the Ministry, the discussions will center on methods of overcoming the created situation and the avoidance of actions that can undermine the Moldovan-Russian relations, which the Moldovan authorities want to be friendly and based on mutual confidence and respect.
