Moldova’s ambassador in Beijing to serve as ambassador in Seoul simultaneously

The Ambassador of Moldova to South Korea, based in Beijing, Anatol Urecheanu presented his credentials to the President of South Korea Park Geun-hye. On this occasion, the officials discussed the recent developments in the bilateral relations, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Moldovan Embassy in Beijing, the interlocutors highlighted the traditional friendship relations between the two countries and the cooperation within international organizations, especially the UN.

Ambassador Anatol Urecheanu thanked the South Korean authorities for the assistance provided to Moldova and voiced hope that new cooperation opportunities will be identified, including in education.

For her part, President Park Geun-hye reiterated South Korea’s support to Moldova in achieving the national objectives, implementing democratic reforms and following the path to the EU. She said that South Korea will continue the projects in the IT sector and may launch new initiatives in this sector.

The President of South Korea was invited to pay a visit to Moldova.
