The airspace of the Republic of Moldova will be partially closed on June 1-2 this year when 47 heads of state and government will come to the summit of the European Political Community that will take place in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The decision to partially close the national airspace was taken by the Interdepartmental Commission for Airspace Management. The Civil Aviation Authority said the measure is aimed at ensuring aviation safety and security in that period.
“The national authorities involved in the process of organizing the summit constantly assess the use of the airspace in the context of the holding of the summit and will make sure that the population is informed swiftly,” noted the Civil Aviation Authority.
