Moldovans working legally in Hungary will receive social benefits

The Cabinet endorsed an agreement on social security between Moldova and Hungary, signed in Chisinau last November, and submitted it to Parliament for ratification. The accord will enable the Moldovans who work legally in Hungary to receive social benefits, IPN reports.

The agreement applies to persons insured in accordance with the legislation of both or one of the two states. The social benefits include the old-age pension, pension for invalidity caused by ordinary diseases, invalidity pension and allowances as a result of work accidents or professional diseases, and the successor’s pension.

Moldova signed similar agreements with Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Estonia, Czech Republic, Luxemburg, and Austria.
