Moldovans working abroad suspected of voting in Bucharest

The former Romanian Minister of the Interior Dan Nica told a news conference that dozens of unidentified persons voted in sector No. 3 of Bucharest instead of six Moldovans who work abroad, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Bucharest reports. Dan Nica said that 136,000 votes were cast for Traian Basescu illegally. Among these are the votes of dozens of persons written at the address of six Moldovan citizens, who live in sector No. 3, but are now working abroad. According to Nica, hundreds of nonexistent persons were registered on a number of streets in sector No. 3. Also, there were issued forged identity cards and identification codes. In this connection, Nirca demanded arresting the head of the reregistration office of sector No. 3 for issuing identity cards illegally as well as Uliam Branza, who is suspected of rigging votes cast by the Romanians abroad, especially in Italy. “The electoral reports on 10% of the votes of the diaspora were falsified. I demand that the votes declared invalid be recounted and that the given cases be investigated,” the minister said. Dan Nica also said that many dead persons voted and there were identified thousands of multiple votes. He stressed that the PSD will prove this by documents and video materials. Dan Nica was dismissed from the post of Minister of the Interior two months ago.
