The Moldovans who also possess Romanian nationality on December 11 voted to choose their representatives in the Parliament of Romania. Lines formed at a number of polling places in Chisinau, IPN reports.
More than 30,000 people voted in the Republic of Moldova. Over half of these cast their ballots in Chisinau. Postal voting was used at these elections for the first time. About 800 Moldovans with Romanian nationally chose this voting method.
In Romania, over 7 million people voted to elect the members of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, with the voter turnout being of almost 39.49%.
