Moldovans with remarkable results at World Championships to be awarded

Athletes Anastasia Nikita, Irina Rîngaci and Mariana Draguțan, who achieved remarkable results at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, will be awarded by the Government, IPN reports, quoting the Executive’s press service.

For her gold medal, Anastasia Nikita will receive 225,000 lei, while for her bronze medal Irina Rîngaci will be awarded 90,000 lei. Mariana Draguțan, who ranked fifth, will be offered 40,000 lei. For such results, the Government also offers monthly scholarships to the athletes: 20,000 lei for the first place, 12,000 lei for the third place, and 10,000 lei for the fifth place.

World champion Anastasia Nikita will also receive 100,000 lei from the Chisinau City Hall. Irina Rîngaci will get 50,000 lei from the municipality, while athletes’ coaches will be offered by 10,000 lei.

Tudor Cîrlan’s pupil Anastasia Nikita scored four victories at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade in the 59 kg weight class. Irina Rîngaci, who became world champion last year in Oslo, won a bronze medal. In the semifinals, she lost to the champion of the Tokyo Olympics Tamyra Mensah-Stock of the United States.
