Moldovans will easier get visa for Australia
The Moldovan citizens and residents of Moldova will benefit from a facilitated visa regime with Australia from July 1, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration says that the Moldovans will no longer need to go to the Embassy of Australia in Moscow and to present the passport for being issued with a visa. Those who want to obtain a visa can apply online, by sending the application and the copies and the required documents to the email address of the embassy.
Afterward, the applicants will be informed online about the decision of the Immigration and Citizenship Department of the Government of Australia, which will be included in the Advance Passenger Processing System that is available at all the international airports.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca was informed about the liberalization of the visa regime by the Australian Ambassador to Moldova, based in Moscow, Margaret A. Twomey.
The Moldovans and residents of Moldova will be checked at the border based on the online conformation from the Embassy of Australia and the data available in the electronic system.
The system can be accessed 24/24 hours at the phone number +61 1300 368 126, or the email address eoc@immi.gov.au of the Entry Operations Centre of Australia.
Additional information about the set of documents needed for the new simplified procedure for obtaining visas can be found on the Australian Embassy’s website starting with July 1.
