Abroad remittances operated by natural persons through commercial banks constitute USD 395.57 mln in the first semester of 2006, by 19.12% more compared with the similar period of 2005. According to the statistics of NBM, over 70% or USD 253.56 mln were delivered through quick transfer systems. These sums increased by 18.59%, compared with January-June 2005, but the share of quick transfers of the whole volume stays at the level of 2005 – 70%. In the first semester of 2006, the remittances via banks constituted USD 151.72 mln, including through quick systems – USD 106.28 mln, and in the second trimester of 2006 – USD 207.85 mln, of which USD 147.28 mln through quick systems. Compared with the first semester of 2000, in the similar period of 2006, the remittances through the banking system increased over 5-fold and in the second trimester – over 6-fold. In 2005, USD 683.25 mln were transferred through banks, of which USD 497.84 mln through quick systems.
