Moldovans who died in traffic accident in Russia were from Dobrogea Veche
The Moldovans who were killed in a road accident in Russia are from Dobrogea Veche village of Sangerei district. The village’s mayor Victor Rahmanov has told Info-Prim Neo that the parents of two of the men already flied to Russia to take home the bodies.
The two men are Oleg Makritski, 27, and Dmitru Maslov, 23. The mayor said another two men who died in the accident - Valentin Borisov and Victor Borisov – are also from Dobrogea Veche, but do not longer have the domicile there. One of them was married in Russia. Nothing is yet known about the fifth victim.
The accident happened in Tosno district of Leningrad region on November 29. The VAZ car in which the five men traveled collided head-on with a truck. As a result of the collision, the two vehicles caught fire. The five men died on the spot, while the truck driver was unhurt. According to the Russian police, the VAZ moved along the opposite lane.
Initially, the press reported that the five men were Moldovans. Today, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry issued a note, saying only two of the victims were citizens of Moldova.
