The Moldovan citizens who meet the conditions for receiving a pension, but who are not in the country will be able to collect the pension through a proxy. A bill to this effect was endorsed by the Cabinet on July 6, IPN reports.
According to Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Stela Grigoras, the proxy will have to possess a power of attorney authenticated by the embassy or consular office of Moldova in the country where the recipient is.
The bill provides that the phrase ‘representative empowered by authenticated power of attorney” will be included in the legislation after the term “custodian” (curator).
