The Moldovans are willing to spend an average of 1,990 lei on this year's Easter meal. In urban areas, the average planned amount is 2,150 lei, and in rural areas – 1,850 lei, shows the iData Barometer for March 2025, IPN reports.

According to the survey, significant differences are also observed by age categories. People aged between 30 and 50 will spend an average of 2,200 lei, compared to young people under 25, who project to spend an average amount of 1,500 lei.

94% of the Moldovans plan to celebrate Easter, which makes this religious holiday one of the most important events, which unites the entire society in the Republic of Moldova. A slightly lower number – 89% - will celebrate the Sunday of the Dead.

The survey was conducted during March 14-25 and covered a sample of 1,007 people from 294 localities. The maximum sampling error is ±3%.
