The tourist offers didn’t change significantly compared with last year. Turkey, as a holiday destination, became dearer, while Greece became more accessible, said representatives of tourism companies that take part in the exhibition “Tourism. Leisure. Hotels” at Moldexpo, IPN reports.
Bulgaria remains one of the preferred destinations of the Moldovans owing to the accessibility and quality of the services. The all inclusive package is the most popular. The price differs depending on the period of stay and the chosen hotel. A stay in a four-star hotel in May-June costs €280, while in the middle of the season - €500.
“Our statistics show that 50,000 tourists went to Bulgaria last year. 51,000 visited Turkey. We anticipate that the number of tourists to Greece this year will rise about four times, from 5,100 last year,” said Elena Sava, director of Stil Tur. A seven-day stay in a two-star hotel on Halkidiki Peninsula at the end of May costs €114. The offer does not include the travel expenses.
As regards Romania, the Moldovans prefer such cultural and religious tourism areas as Bucovina, Moldova and Suceava and such recreational areas as the seaside and Valea Prahovei with the resorts Brasov and Sinaia, said Irena Petre, representative of the National Tourism Authority of Romania. The number of Moldovan tourists increased by 13% in the first months of 2012, compared with 2011.
Ioan Munteanu, representative of the company EuroVacanta, which presents offers to health resorts, said their prices didn’t rise as they target the elderly persons and it is more convenient for them to have a higher number of clients. A day of stay in Slanic Moldova resort, with meals included, costs €10-12, while treatment costs about €5.
The exhibition “Tourism. Leisure. Hotels” is taking place at Moldexpo between April 11 and 14.
