Moldovan tourists, including people with low incomes, may spend a week on the Romanian seaside at one of those 160 Romanian resorts and health spas. This is due to the special program “A week of invigoration in resorts”, carried out from October 1 to December 1. According to Mariana Iuga, chief of the Bureau for Information and Touristic Promotion of Romania to Chisinau, the offers proposed by the National Authority for Tourism from Romania comprises 6 nights of accommodation, at prices ranging from EUR 55 to 90, depending on the hotels’ classification. Those interested may choose from 50 hotel units rated with 1, 2 and 3 stars, accommodations in cottages, pensions and hotels sited in Slanic Moldova, Vatra Dornei, Baile Felix, Calimanesti, Covasna, Praid, Baile Govora, Sangeorz Bai, Lacul Sarat, Sinaia, Voineasa, Moneasa, and Olanesti resorts. Mariana Iuga says that the Romanian spas are providing an array of health services which cure cardiovascular, rheumatism and respiratory diseases. The resorts are featuring mud baths, mineral springs, etc. Those concerned may address tourist agents from Chisinau and other Moldovan towns.
