Prime Minister Vlad Filat instructed Minister of Information and Communication Technology Pavel Filip to draft a bill to specify the prices of all the identification papers, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The announced reduction refers mainly to the biometric passports issued in an urgency. Thus, it is the price of the 'urgency' that is reduced, not of the passport itself. I mean all the documents needed by the people, including the driver's license. We must analyze the situation, identify reserves and set new prices by law. The prices must not be decreased by order of the minister or the director of a company,” Vlad Filat said in the March 16 meeting of the Cabinet. The Premier demanded that the bill be presented within a month.
