The Moldovan citizens in Italy are urged to refrain from trips and from attending public places. They are advised to go out of the house only if strictly necessary and to take the necessary hygiene and disinfection measures. Such recommendations were formulated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration following the rise in the number of persons infected with the Covid-19 virus in northern Italy, IPN reports.
The authorities recommend the Moldovan citizens in this country to strictly obey Italian authorities’ instructions concerning the epidemiological situation. The Italian health ministry on a dedicated portal provided the list of questions and answers, pieces of advice concerning trips and recommendations for diminishing the risk of exposure and transmission of the virus. The citizens can also use nonstop the helpline 1500 where they can obtain information in Italian, English and Chinese.
Also, in order to avoid crowdedness and exposure to risks of infection, the expats in the period are requested to ask for consular services at Moldova’s Consulates in Milan and Padova only in emergencies.

The authorities in Italy reported almost 160 cases of infection with the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and three deaths. Several cities in northern Italy are under quarantine. Schools, hospitals, courts of law, restaurants and shops were closed.
