Moldovans in Italy send children home
The victims of the earthquake in northern Italy do not include Moldovans, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, which was notified by the Consulate General of Moldova in Bologna.
On the afternoon of May 29, Moldovans living in the Italian areas struck by the quake on a temporary basis asked Moldova’s Consulate General in Bologna to issue their underage children with travel documents so that they could leave Italy.
An earthquake measuring 5.8 degrees on the Richter scale shook Emilia Romagna region in Modena province on Tuesday morning. The casualties amounted to 15 so far. The Italian Cabinet declared a state of emergency in the provinces Mantova, Modena, Bologna, and Ferrara for 60 days.
