Some 21% of the respondents of the most recent Public Opinion Barometer consider their life will slightly improve in a year, 18% anticipate that it will worsen slightly, while 27% expect no changes, IPN reports.
Asked how their life is now, compared with a year ago, 46% of those polled said it remained unchanged, 29% said it is slightly worse, while 15% said it is much worse.
As to the incomes of the family, 32% of those surveyed said that these do not cover even the bare essentials, 41% said they can afford only the basic necessities, 19% said these are enough for a decent living, but they cannot buy more expensive things, and only 1% said they can afford everything they want.
Among the things that worry the Moldovans the most are poverty, prices, the children’s future and corruption.
Asked if they would leave Moldova if they had the occasion, 22% of the respondents said they would leave for good, 35% would leave for a period, 37% would choose not to go, while 6% cannot say now.
