Moldovans have chances to qualify for 2010 Youth Olympics: Moldovan Taekwondo Federation president
Moldova's juniors have won 16 medals at the Balkanic Taekwondo Games, which unfolded in Bucharest on October 25-26, and this result offers the sportspeople big chances to qualify for the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore, Vladislav Mazur, the president of the Taekwondo Federation told a news conference on Tuesday.
The Moldovans got 6 golden medals, 3 silver medals and 7 bronze medals at the Balkanics, and thus got the third place.
Vladislav Mazur says the World Taekwondo Championship in Mexico is decisive to get qualified. If Moldova reaches to be among the first eight teams, it will get green light to attend the Olympics.
Moldova attended the Balkanic Games 5 years ago and got one gold and three bronzes.
