The Cabinet approved the signing of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Republic of Turkey for amending the agreement on the abolition of visas that was signed in Ankara on November 1, 2012. Based on the given changes, the Moldovans could travel to Turkey and the Turkish citizens could travel to Moldova only with the identity card, IPN reports.
The protocol will take effect in 30 days of the receipt of the last notification by which the contracting sides will inform each other, through diplomatic channels, of the fulfillment of the internal legal procedures required for the document to take effect.
The possibility of mutual travel based on internal papers does not envision the right to work. The persons who want to enter the territory of one of the contracting sides with the aim of working and those who want to stay for a period longer than 90 days will have to get a visa before travelling.
