Moldovans could fly to Vilnius starting September 1

Beginning September 1, airBaltic airline will launch direct flights from Chisinau to Vilnius, the Lithuanian Embassy in Moldova said in a press release. By expanding the network of increasingly popular flights to Eastern destinations, airBaltic aims to connect Eastern and Western regions more closely. Flights to Vilnius will be operated twice per week – on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flight time will be 2 hours and 25 minutes. The price for one-way ticket from Chisinau to Vilnius will start at 50 EUR including airport taxes. Tickets for flights to Vilnius can be bought online at www.airbaltic.com. Later tickets will be available at travel agencies as well. Currently, airBaltic operates direct flights out of Riga to 43 destinations, from Vilnius to 18 destinations, from Liepaja to 3 destinations and from Kaliningrad to 2 destinations.
