Moldovans caught at airport with allegedly fake Romanian papers

Two Moldovans are suspected of possessing forged Romanian documents. The men aged 26 and 33 were identified among passengers of the Paris-Chisinau flight at the Chisinau International Airport. During the ordinary check, the Moldovans were asked to present confirming identification papers because the travel documents aroused suspicion, IPN reports.

The Border Police said the suspect identity cards and a driver’s license were seized and sent for examination.

If their guilt is proven, the Moldovans face fines of up to 6,000 lei, 150 to 200 hours of community service or up to two years behind bars.
